Cardinham Sports Club aims to promote sports amongst all age groups in the community. A committee, elected from amongst its members, oversees management of the tennis court and organises other events. All members are encouraged to attend club meetings, including the Annual General Meeting.
We take safeguarding and diversity & inclusion seriously, and we are affiliated to the national Lawn Tennis Association*, and it is with their support that we have we have third party public liability insurance, which covers members in the event an accident is caused to third parties, e.g. an errant ball causes an accident on the road. Players must understand that play is at your own risk. That is to say, if you e.g. incur an injury during the course of a game of tennis or a club-organised cycle ride, and this is not through negligence of the Cardinham Sports Club, then there is no insurance cover for this. Players are advised to consider getting their own insurance to cover for such events.
