Cycling

The club no longer organises cycling events, but friends, some with connections to the club, do still sometimes take their bikes out and are happy for others to join them, as long as they realise they do so at their own risk.

This year (2022), on Sunday 15 May, a group of friends (including members) will be going on a  cycle ride, from Pentewan to Wheal Martyn. This follows the old railway track, and is rated as ‘easy’  (see www.claytrails.co.uk/pentewan-valley-trail )  – and if  have difficulty bringing a bike there, you can arrange to hire a bicycle at Pentewan.  It’s about three and a half miles each way.  They will meet at 10 am at Pentewan car park, from where the riders start cycling. You’re welcome to join them, but note that this is not a club-organised event.  Anyone coming along has to be responsible for their own safety etc.; the club accepts no responsibility for the welfare of anyone joining in.  Contact Lance 821641 for more info.
